NEPTUNE BISTRO & RAW BAR Murrells Inlet, SC $16.00 to $20.00 per hour

As a Pastry and Restaurant Bakery Production Team Member, you will assist the Pastry Department in the production of an assortment of pastries.  Preparing a wide variety of goods following traditional and modern recipes. Assist in the creation of new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.

Summary of Responsibilities: 

  • Producing laminated dough for the creation of croissants, danish and other pastry items.  

  • Producing bread dough and baking as required.

  • Following recipes and producing pastry, baked goods, mousses, etcetera with little to no guidance. 

  • Using knowledge and incorporating creativity to assemble a beautiful finished product. 

  • Plating the final product for presentation for inventory and made to order scenarios. 

  • Working with the front of the house processing orders as well as answering questions that they may have.

  • Communicating with the pastry chefs about any issues or needs that may arise during the days’ work.

  • Ability to work independently and remain focused around a busy environment. Can deal with on-the-fly changes to what is required of the day to day workload. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • 2 to 4 years of bakery and/or restaurant production experience working with lamination and bread dough

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 lbs

  • Ability to work a  flexible schedule including weekends and special events

  • Can withstand long periods of time standing in a busy environment

  • You must be a proactive, adaptable team player who enjoys taking initiative to drive for results

  • Eager to learn & progress, responsible with the willingness to take ownership
