Position Overview:

Family Service of Roanoke Valley is seeking a Director of Finance. This position is part of the Executive Leadership Team and works closely with the President/CEO on strategic operations and planning. Primary responsibilities of this position include providing detailed analysis of financial statements to the Board of Directors and CEO, development and monitoring of fiscal policies and regulatory compliance standards, grant budgeting and reporting, supervision of accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring proper and efficient use of all organizational financial, cash and non-cash resources.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.

· Experience and proficiency in multi-million dollar non-profit grant financial management and budgeting preferred.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required along with experience in accounting software.

· Grants management system experience a plus.

· Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices or a willingness to learn.
