Position Summary:

At Thrive Behavioral Health Center, we deliver industry leading peer support for those suffering from Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse Disorders.  We are proud to set the industry standard and continue our growth. The Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for providing supervision to the counseling team, along with assisting the Clinical Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the counseling team in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the organization


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Counseling Team 

  • Function as Thrive’s Clients Rights Officer

  • Support day to day operations of the counseling team

  • Review and Ensure Client Files are compliant 

  • Support with Client Crisis 

  • Process and Assist with Discharging Clients 

  • Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.

  • Assists the Clinical Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the counseling team in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the organization.

  • Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to counseling staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on new projects

  • Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care and counseling and social work supervision 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators, assists with proactively monitoring and implementing systems to achieve and/or surpass company thresholds

  • Under the direction of the ClinicalDirector collaborates with Managers,  community agencies, and institutions to improve the quality of services and to resolve identified problems.

  • Maintain current knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques, criminal justice systems, and community resources using in-service training, seminars, workshops and publications

  • Collaborate with Clinical Director  to develop policies and procedures to ensure quality services for clients and accountability for staff

  • Collaborate with administrative team in grant writing and reporting

  • Work closely with other programming teams to ensure coordination of care for clients

  • Other duties as assigned 


Requirements:

  • Valid clinical licensure in counseling or social work (LISW-S or LPCC-S)

  • At least three years of administrative supervisory experience

  • At least five years experience providing trauma informed care

  • Experience and knowledge of direct behavioral health services, including assessment, treatment, and consultation

  • Knowledge of diverse modalities of counseling and diagnostic principles and ability to apply to a full range of diverse client populations

  • Knowledge of clinical research literature

  • Ability to lead team to meet all performance goals

  • Belief in a strengths-based approach to human services

  • Working knowledge of different pathways to recovery and social systems including evidence based practices

  • Understands problems analysis, decision-analysis, evaluate interventions, and contingency plans

  • Ability to be an active listener by asking questions and reflecting on what is being said

  • Proficient level of ability with computer; Microsoft Office Products

  • Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to articulate information clearly


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in co-occurring clinical environment  


Education: Master’s degree in clinical social work, psychology, counseling or other related field.
