Camp Science Instructor
Our Doylestown location is searching for a Camp Science and Environmental Discovery Instructor for the 2021 Summer Camp season! The ideal Camp Science Instructor candidate must have strong organizational/communication skills and the ability to write and adapt lesson plans to different age levels. Requirements for Camp Science Instructor:
At least 18 years old
2 years of experience working with children
Degree, completed or in progress, in science related field
Experience teaching Science or STEM to children
Ability to perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training will be provided)
Must attend all camp training
Days/Hours Needed: Monday- Friday; 8:15AM-4:15PM *This is a seasonal position from mid June to August*
Responsibilities for Camp Science Instructor:
Instruct children of all ages (5 years -14 years) in Science and STEM
Develop and implement daily activity plans according to provided camp objectives.
Engage in Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and Fun Fridays.
Organize and maintain camp supplies, and order supplies as needed.
Adapt program activities according to camper’s needs
Ensure program area is safe and clear of any hazards
Enforce all safety guidelines and emergency protocols
Identify and respond appropriately to camper behavioral issues and report all incidents to the Lead Counselor
Pay Rate: $10.00-$15.00/hour
