Store Associate Part Time

New Hope Mills is located in Auburn, NY and is home to well-known pancake mixes and our growing Store and Cafe. We're currently seeking a Part-Time Store Associate for our Store and Cafe. This associate is responsible for performing retail process steps and for providing our customers with an exceptional shopping experience. Store hours are generally 7:00 AM-4:00 PM and open Monday-Saturday.  We're looking for a friendly, motivated, and outgoing person to fill this position.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill mail and sales orders daily and receive incoming mail
• Greet customers and provide good customer service by providing friendly and professional answers and information
• Perform basic phone/email operations 
• Perform basic Point-of-Sale (POS) activities
• Assist in the presentation of Store & Cafe signage, pricing, and displays
• Organize, rotate, and restock items daily to ensure the availability of fresh products
• Record customer feedback
• Repack and label bulk foods for retail sale
• Assist with Cafe operations (cashing out customers, fulfilling to-go orders, etc)
• Additional duties will be assigned as needed

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma (or GED equivalent)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail and café environment
• Basic cash handling procedures
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
• Work well in a team environment
• Cheerful, self-motivated, responsible and detail-oriented
• Ability to use computers and basic Microsoft Applications
• Demonstrate a commitment to company values, policies, and procedures
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull and lift objects up to 60lbs

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years of customer service, shipping, or retail experience
• Database management experience/ability to learn company software and database quickly
