As with all members of our staff, you will greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. The Breakfast Host must remain calm and attentive, especially during heavy hotel activity and emergencies.
During each schedule shift provide courteous guest service promptly, efficiently and monitor guests’ satisfaction with the breakfast items and area. Each day preparing and displaying breakfast in accordance with the brand guidelines. Also, maintain the serving area during breakfast hours and break down the serving line once breakfast is over. During breakfast hours, the Breakfast Host is to engage with our guest: answer questions, address concerns – find and offer appropriate feedback.
This position requires to manage inventories to maintain par levels based on hotel occupancy; place food, beverage and supply orders as required. Maintain organized and clean prep and storage rooms, report any maintenance concerns to management promptly.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel (including weekends and holidays).
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with all rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
The ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Will need to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Breakfast Host will be required to continuously stand or walk 95% of their scheduled shift with continuous bending, stooping and kneeling. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes up to 25 lbs. throughout shift.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Hotel experience is preferred yet not required.
