Shop Laborer

Position Summary:

Workhorse Staffing Company is looking for a full-time Shop Laborer in St. Johns, MI. This position involves working in a team environment within a family-owned company that manufactures screening and sizing media for various industries, including mining, construction, and pharmaceuticals. The role includes preparing orders for delivery, pulling and verifying materials, and supporting production operations. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure, lift 50+ pounds, use hand tools, and maintain a clean and organized work area. 

Job responsibilities:

- Preparing orders for delivery

- Locating materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders

- Knowledge of steel machinery (shear & brake press) a plus, but not required

- Work as part of a team

- Following all company rules and policies

- Keeping the work area clean and organized

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Qualification & skills:

- MUST be able to read a tape measure *This is a required skill*

- Have legible handwriting

- Able to lift 50+ pounds

- Able to use a variety of hand tools

- Willing to learn and perform new tasks

- Be dependable

Schedule:

- First Shift 

- Monday-Thursday; Friday is optional

- Ten-hour workdays

- Pay: $18.00 per hour
