Solar Maintenance Crew Member

Solar Solution DC is a solar installation and service company operating throughout the Washington, DC area. We are growing our field team and looking for dependable, hands-on individuals who take pride in doing quality work and keeping every job site safe.

The Solar Maintenance Crew Member is a hands-on field role responsible for the upkeep, inspection, and repair of residential and commercial solar systems. This position requires daily use of hand and power tools, along with regular work on rooftops and ladders. We are looking for someone reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a crew.

•     Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on solar energy systems

•     Use hand and power tools, including drills, to complete fastening, mounting, and repair work

•     Work safely and confidently on roofs and ladders for extended periods

•     Diagnose and address basic system issues, escalating more complex electrical work as needed

•     Follow all safety protocols and site procedures without exception

•     Maintain accurate records of work performed at each job site

•     Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment in proper working condition

•     Communicate professionally with clients and team members while on site

•     Reliable and punctual

•     Comfortable and confident working at heights, including on roofs and ladders

•     Proficient with hand and power tools, including drills and fastening equipment

•     Holds a valid license as required for this position

•     Prior experience in solar, construction, roofing (optional), or a related trade preferred

•     Able to lift and carry equipment as required by the role

•     Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to job-site safety

•     Hourly pay, based on experience

•     Company vehicle and equipment provided for job sites
