Membership Operations Coordinator

The National WWII Museum seeks a Membership Operations Coordinator who will work as part of a team-oriented department responsible for The National WWII Museum’s vast nationwide Direct Mail and Charter Membership programs. The Membership program is within the Institutional Advancement office, charged with raising philanthropic dollars to support the mission of The National WWII Museum. In addition to supporting the Direct Mail program, this position will help support and grow our onsite Membership initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience in a non-profit development role. Excellent communications skills and the ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with external constituencies and prospective donors is necessary. Knowledge of computer software for development, preferably in Raiser’s Edge, proficiency with database analysis and reporting is strongly preferred. The ability to manage multiple assignments with hard deadlines, have strong initiative, organizational skills, and good judgement in a fast-paced environment is a must. This position requires the ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule that goes beyond a 40-hour work week-including occasional weekends, evenings and some travel throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in managing day-to-day aspects of the Museum’s direct mail program which includes collaborating on production, schedule, timelines, and execution of mailings to prospective and current donors/members. Collaborates with Museum’s creative units and vendors on direct mail program.
  • Works with creative agency data team to monitor and provide timely updates of daily mail counts, cash deposits and data entry process with Museum’s processing center.
  • Assists in growing the Museum on-site Membership program. Engages Visitor and Volunteer Services teams to provide training, motivation, support, and back-up onsite services, as-needed. Works with Director of Visitor Services to identify Membership and Patriots Circle sales opportunities at all points of sale.
  • Maintains direct mail archive and all program files, as well as vendor and contracting files (paper & electronic).
  • Provides support for the various Office functions during peak periods.
