Job Title: Housekeeper / Guest Room Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeper plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas. This position requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to brand cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Room Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean, sanitize, and reset assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards 

  • Change bed linens, make beds, vacuum carpets, dust surfaces, and clean windows/mirrors.

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, tiles, and counters.

  • Restock room amenities, paper products, glassware, and guest literature.

• Operational & Safety Duties

  • Organize, restock, and maintain the housekeeping cart throughout the shift.

  • Inspect room fixtures, lighting, TV/electronics, and HVAC units, reporting any maintenance issues or broken items promptly.

  • Secure and report lost-and-found items immediately following hotel protocol.

  • Follow all safety, security, and chemical handling procedures (including OSHA/SDS standards).

• Guest & Team Engagement

  • Greet guests warmly in hallways and public areas, offering assistance whenever needed.

  • Handle guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or amenities courteously and efficiently.

  • Communicate room status (cleaned, vacant, occupied, maintenance required) with the Front Desk and Housekeeping team.

• Experience: Previous hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred, but on-the-job training is provided.

• Skills: Strong organizational skills, thoroughness, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to interact with guests and teammates.

• Reliability: Punctual and dependable with flexible availability (including weekends and holidays).

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching for extended periods (8+ hours).

• Lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment or carts weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Repetitive hand and arm motions involved in cleaning, scrubbing, and bed-making.
