The Loge at Whitefish Lake is seeking Dock Attendants to join our team.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:
The Captains Club is a private boat club operated out of the Marina at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Our members gain access to a fleet of high-end boats, without the hassle and cost of typical boat ownership while enjoying concierge-style service from our dedicated crew.
As we head into the 2026 season, Captains Club continues to grow and evolve. We are looking for a crew that is excited to serve our members and help deliver the exceptional, luxury boating experience that defines The Captains Club.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about providing exceptional customer service, building relationships with our members, and having an eye for detail to ensure five-star service. Dock attendants will facilitate member outings, efficiently communicate with members and other staff, and act as an advocate for The Captains Club.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Maintain a professional image
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain excellent knowledge of the club, its offerings, and the ability to recommend and guide guests in safe boating practices
- Must be comfortable learning new computer software to track members reservations, requests, and boat usage
- Perform all opening, side work, and closing duties accurately and completely
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Must be comfortable around boats and willing to obtain knowledge of safe boating operation as well as in-depth understanding of how to operate our fleet
DAILY TASKS:
- Set up Captains Club stand
- Review “Todays Reservations” within reservation software
- Detail and prepare boats for “Todays Reservations”
- Conduct thorough boat inspections and safety equipment inspections
- Prepare all requested food and beverage items before members arrival and have it stocked on the boat
- Check members in and out for their reservation within reservation software
- Track and manage damage or incidents as they arise
- Assist members in boarding boats and departing from dock
- Provide safety speech and operational review of boats for each outing
- Assist members in returning to dock and deboarding boats
- Be available to act as a concierge for our members and willing to go above and beyond to create unique experiences
- Fuel boats and detail after each outing
- Communicate with members on boat availability
- Promote and enforce all club rules and regulations
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Must be punctual and arrive at work on time and in accordance with posted schedule
- Ability to move around the docks and get in and out of boats for cleaning and maintenance
- Follow and respond to management instruction and direction
- Desire to provide exceptional member experience and have an eye for detail regarding boat cleanliness and maintenance
- Be willing and able to operate a boat in, and around, crowded dock areas
- Experience or knowledge of boating, safe practices, and boat operation is desired

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Highschool Diploma, or GED/vocational training, or job-related experience
Experience / Licenses or certificates
- Must have experience maneuvering and docking boats
- Have knowledge of safe boating practices and understand operation of boats to the extent you can teach members how to operate a vessel
- Must have a valid drivers license
