The Night Audit is responsible for assisting guests with their overnight requested and the end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing, and account reconciliation.

Essential Functions

  1. Greet and welcome guests.
  2. Assign rooms and keys.
  3. Answer phone in pleasant manner.
  4. Make reservations.
  5. Reconcile accounts.
  6. Balance the cash drawer and log receipts.
  7. Distributes closing and morning shift reports to the appropriate departments.
  8. Prepares reports to be forwarded to Accounting.
  9. Prepares and distributes the Daily Operating Summary.
  10. All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests' expectations.
  11. Perform other duties as directed.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hotel setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, and photocopiers. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position may require lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. This role requires forty, plus  hours to include, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required
  2. One- year prior experience,
  3. Customer Service experience.
