Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our industrial manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating generator frames, enclosures, supports, brackets, and structural components used in data center and industrial power-generation applications.
This is a hands-on position requiring strong welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and work efficiently in a production environment.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG/GMAW welding on carbon steel and structural components.

Weld generator frames, bases, supports, brackets, enclosures, and related assemblies.

Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work instructions.

Set up welding machines, select appropriate wire and settings, and make necessary adjustments.

Perform tack welding, fit-up, fabrication, and final welding.

Use grinders, saws, drills, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools.

Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision tools.

Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, penetration, and defects.

Perform grinding, cleaning, and weld finishing as required.

Maintain welding equipment and a clean, organized work area.

Follow OSHA, company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and material-handling practices.

Work closely with fabricators, fitters, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production schedules.

Maintain consistent quality while working in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years MIG/GMAW welding experience in an industrial, manufacturing, structural, or fabrication environment.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.

Experience welding carbon steel and structural steel preferred.

Ability to perform welds in multiple positions.

Strong understanding of welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.

Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic shop math.

Experience with generator structures, heavy equipment, industrial fabrication, or similar products is a plus.

Ability to lift, position, and work with large metal components.

Strong attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications

AWS welding certification.

Previous experience with industrial generators, data center power systems, electrical enclosures, or heavy structural fabrication.
