Marketing Assistant

Position Summary:
This position reports to the Marketing Manager and assists with the implementation of the marketing activities of the bank. Main responsibilities include corporate sponsorship coordination, merchandising, communicating with external vendors, and providing administrative support to assist in internal activities. Other duties include corporate scheduling, assisting in event implementation, maintaining digital files, tracking budgets and expenses, and maintaining brand standards. The Marketing Assistant should be an excellent record keeper with attention to detail, a self-starter, and equally comfortable in behind-the-scenes and in networking situations. They should have the ability to prioritize, a high sense of urgency, and be willing to exceed deadline expectations.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, instructional documents, internal newsletters and wellness programs, social media posts, Press Releases, and any other correspondence as needed.
- Maintain Sponsorship Portal including processing and tracking sponsorship requests/bills, building forms and workflows, keeping historical archives, and creating system reports.
- Assists in coordination and administrative support for marketing activities in advertising, promotion, and community events. Must be present at corporate, client, and community events.
- Purchase, receive, store, and distribute marketing merchandise and printed materials.
- Maintain brand standards and purchase company signage, stationery, and displays.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling, photocopying, mailing, maintaining digital filing system, creating departmental reports, processing invoices, etc.
- System knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong Outlook and Excel skills, familiarity with Canva, Cricut Design Space, and Adobe Acrobat a plus.
- Provide administrative and physical support to all Marketing Department personnel and other areas as assigned.
- All other duties assigned.

Working Conditions:
The work for this position is conducted on-site in an office environment. Travel for training, meetings and events are required from time to time. Evening and weekend availability will be required occasionally. The work during events will require some heavy lifting, standing for extended periods at a time, and being exposed to the outdoor elements.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or minimum of 2 years of relevant work. Marketing or Administrative experience a plus. A wide degree of organization, attention to detail, and latitude is expected.
