Job Summary:

The Lead Clinical Admissions Specialist (LCAS) is part of our admissions center team and is the integral communicator of prescreening approvals and denials.  The LCAS assists in expediting the approval process for the best possible patient experience.  With a focus on collecting and reviewing information including the prescreening, data capture, and relevant medical records, the LCAS will determine the SOP for approval to assess at the campus level.     

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and continually improve the process for accepting patients to treatment in an expedient manner
  • Assess prescreening and pertinent medical record information
  • Review and Approve/ Deny pre-admission screening for potential patients
  • Contact patients and providers when necessary to assist in the admission process
  • Facilitate approval and nurse-to-nurse communication when necessary
  • Work with campus staff to align the approval process across Addiction Campuses
  • Provide quarterly classroom clinical training to the admissions center staff
  • Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment

  • High school diploma required
  • Clinical certification, LPN, or RN required
  • High level of integrity and devotion to putting a patient’s needs first
  • Minimum of 2 years in customer support, social work, emergency hotline representative or other similar role as part of a Call/Support/Admissions Center
  • Must possess high stress tolerance skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet and MS Office tools
  • Experience with an EMR system preferred
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Must have organization and planning skills
  • Ability to collaborate and function as part of a team
  • Resilience when faced with rejection critical
  • Possesses a high level of energy
