M&A/Corporate Development Associate

This is a remote role Full-time

The M&A/Corporate Development Associate is part of the Corporate Development team and is responsible for acquisition transaction execution including, financial and operational due diligence, financial modeling, and investment underwriting. Associates provide analytical support, financial analysis, and review for business planning and acquisitions. Associates will be expected to provide a range of analytical, financial modeling, research and general support in all aspects of corporate development execution.

On a daily basis this person will be responsible for:

Drafting of transaction-related documents and memos

Valuation analysis and financial modeling

Provide support in negotiation, creation and review of term sheets and definitive agreements. Work with legal teams in creating transaction documents

Managing third party due diligence providers

Research multiple sources for company, industry, and market information

Communicate financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear manner

Create business models and develop pro-forma financial models for acquisitions

Analyze company financial statements, investment profiles and cap tables

Ad-hoc financial and business analysis

Support the creation and prioritization of the deal pipeline 

To be able to achieve those responsibilities we are looking for the following characteristics:

Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any other related field. Equivalent practical experience of the same is also acceptable for the position.

Experience: A candidate for this position must demonstrate a capability and experience with M&A transactions along with the ability to make wise decisions coupled with a keen eye for detail. The candidate must demonstrate substantial knowledge in financial modeling and analysis.

Communication Skills: Communication skills, both in written and verbal form are imperative.

Ms Office/Software: The candidate must also demonstrate proficiency in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint, which will be necessary for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations for senior M&A management and collaborating personnel.

Research and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated passion for analytics and the insights realized from processing raw information and data. He/She will possess strong research, analytical modeling, and technical skills.
