Mental Health Clinician - Full Time

Summary:

This position is accountable for providing mental health services including counseling, consultation, evaluations, and case management for individuals, families, and groups.  This includes facilitating psychoeducation for groups and families.

Responsibilities:

Provide assessments to determine eligibility of services; Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatments; Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports; Provide direct mental health services including case management; Counsel clients individually and in group sessions; Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge; Refer clients and families to community resources or to specialists as necessary; Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed in order to comply with changes in clients’ status; Input data/info into The Family Tree database; Perform related duties as assigned.

Education:

• Mental Health License required (LCPC, LCPC-C, LCSW, LCSW-C)

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences (Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, etc.) required

Experience: One (1) year experience working in Human or Social Services; 1 year working directly with families or children in the home or in group settings

Skills: Knowledge of child development and parenting skills building; Elementary knowledge of data base operations

Work Environment:

Must work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings; Must be prepared to travel to various program sites, and various communities.
