The Client Relations Specialist manages high profile corporate accounts with an elevated level of service and support, in alignment with Payworks’ Relationship Management strategy. This role places an emphasis on building long-term relationships with a designated client portfolio, fostering a partnership of high trust, satisfaction and client care. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for managing multiple priorities and projects, a passion for service, and be an exceptional team player. They must effectively seek to understand client needs, present solutions, and deliver on commitments, while working collaboratively within an Account Team.

+ Delivering world-class service experience for all clients, with primary alignment to high profile accounts.

+ Participates in introductory and hand-off meetings with new clients in Implementation, enabling a great first impression.

+ Follows guidelines of Proactive Relationship Management; engages in regular value-added discussions tailored to the expectations and objectives of each client.

+ Shows ownership mentality by taking initiative to deepen relationships as a trusted partner for primary contacts; collaborates with Payworks’ Relationship Owners and attends meetings with Senior level contacts, where required.

+ Case management and project management responsibilities, related to custom requests or escalations.

+ Partners with Implementation, Sales, Product, and Marketing teams, working collaboratively to deliver on commitments, retention of accounts, and ensure the best solution(s); must be continuously engaged with the ongoing pulse of customers.

+ Contributes business insights as a voice of our customer, and shares client feedback.

+ Assists with identifying opportunities for product enhancement.


+ Exceptional client service and communication techniques; including the ability to ask great questions and apply relationship-building skills.

+ Project Management. Ability to self-manage multiple commitments, continuously prioritizing and handling client requests with professionalism and the appropriate degree of urgency.

+ Commitment to continuous learning of all products and the solutions they provide our clients.

+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team, demonstrating resourcefulness in the use of available tools and support resources.

+ 3+ years’ of related experience in Account/Project Management. JIRA/SugarCRM experience is an asset.
