Business Developer
POSITION SUMMARY
ND Landscape Services has been providing Full-Service Landscaping for clients in the North Shore and Metro North area since 1980. We are seeking a results-driven Business Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for growing our residential and commercial maintenance services and snow removal services for commercial properties. You will work closely with the Leadership Team to drive new business, develop comprehensive sales plans, and build relationships that lead to continued success. You will play a key role in ensuring that our marketing efforts align with sales goals, develop high-quality proposals, and ensure smooth transitions from sales to production.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and manage a comprehensive sales plan for residential and commercial maintenance and snow services, focusing on lead generation and securing new business.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in commercial properties to ensure a consistent flow of work.
• Produce high-quality, customized proposals and presentations that clearly communicate scope and expectations to clients.
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop annual marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth.
• Streamline proposal and estimating systems to improve turnaround times and align with production needs.
• Work closely with the Production Team to ensure smooth hand-offs and that work is delivered as promised.
• Work in a management capacity during snow events during the day, ensuring efficient execution of snow removal services for commercial properties.

EXPERIENCE
• Experience in commercial landscape maintenance, snow removal services, or related industries is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Design, or related fields preferred.
• Proven success in business development or sales, with a track record of meeting sales goals.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and estimating/bidding software (e.g., Go-I-Lawn) or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and internal teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to travel within the assigned market area.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and phones.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• $80-$120,000 annually, plus commissions
