Full-time; Supervisory - Experience: 3 – 5 years supervision in Health Information / Medical Records;

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Health Information Management, RHIA or RHIT, required.

Skills required:  Leadership, attention to detail, technology skills, knowledge of regulatory requirements, pertaining to HIM, advanced communication skills.

Responsible for the supervision and operation of the Health Information Department at Main and North campuses; Manages/Supervises functions including record processing and EHR maintenance, analysis, incomplete charts, birth certificate completion, and release of information; Manages/Supervises HIM department staffing including conducting counseling, discipline, and performance evaluations; Manages/Supervises the department in a cost-effective manner; prepares HIM department budget;

Oversees the compilation of hospital wide statistics, data, and reporting; Serves as the facility’s Records Custodian, overseeing hospital and clinic based record maintenance and retention; Implements processes and systems to ensure accurate and complete medical record documentation and maintenance in the EMR; Communicates and works with physicians and departments to improve the quality of documentation; Ensures compliance with and is knowledgeable of state and federal laws and standards related record completion, release of information, and birth certificate completion, and the privacy and security of records; Participates in medical staff and hospital-wide committees
