Job Summary:  

The Supervisor focuses on floor operations including box office, concessions, runner, and usher duties.  The supervisor oversees and performs crew functions to optimize guest satisfaction and profitability in a professional and safe work environment.  Supervisors are an extension of the management team.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, movie knowledge, and all other components of Guest Service
  • Can accurately and effectively complete all of the duties of the cashier, concession attendant, runner, and usher
  • Knows all policies and procedures and sets a positive example for the entire crew
  • Assists management with training new employees
  • Trains staff team on POS usage
  • Resolves guest questions, concerns, and issues
  • Oversees the employee break schedule
  • Ensures that employees in all areas are following policy and procedures
  • Ensures that all employees are completing opening, closing, daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
  • Reinforces employee dress code
  • Maintains security awareness and training for all employees
  • Knowledge of all emergency procedures
  • Restocks concession stand
  • Completes nightly inventory
  • Assists management with cashier shift closings when needed
  • Issues employee coaching and write up documentation when necessary
  • Assists management with performance reviews
  • Performs other duties as instructed by management
  • Maintains regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Complete knowledge of box office, concession, and usher duties
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for math and cash handling
  • Good verbal communication skills in person and over the phone
  • Works effectively and efficiently in the high volume setting
  • Follows instructions
  • Effectively works with co-workers, supervisors, and management
  • Requires minimal supervision 
  • Ability to delegate and follow up effectively and efficiently 
  • Meets deadlines
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and move product 90 feet on a regular basis
