We are looking for an experienced and analytical leader with a strong background in healthcare finance to drive our organization's financial operations and improve financial performance. Duties for the VP of Finance will include supervising Accounting, Admin, HR, and Quality Management support teams. The VP of Finance is also responsible for overseeing internal controls, setting financial targets, developing a financial strategy, monitoring expenditures, and monitoring cash flow.
The Vice President of Finance is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the company and for making strategic decisions regarding the organization’s future. The VP of Finance serves as the subject matter expert on the finances and forecasting for the company and should have a thorough understanding of medical billing operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assessing the current state of finance and accounting across all business units and setting standards for future profitability
- Analyzing the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets; issues regular status and ad hoc reports to senior leadership
- Analyzing trends to reduce financial risks associated with spending decisions
- Creating usable and comprehensive budgets for the business, including evaluating the needs of each department in the long term
- Directing financial planning and providing strategic guidance to support company growth needs
- Preparing forecasts and offering recommendations
- Managing cash flow
- Overseeing audit and tax functions
- Managing internal controls and documenting existing financial reporting business processes, managing, and analyzing data, and recommending enhanced processes
- Supporting development with projections, utilizing proformas, and establishing commission rates for new clients
- Analyzing client financial performance and reviewing contracts for profitability
- Managing the transition of accounting data from one software to another
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including tax laws and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Leading and managing ancillary teams
- Overseeing all aspects of recruiting, training, and performance of management and professional-level staff

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field required
- 7+ years in a management or team leadership role in the financial sector within the healthcare industry
- Progressive years of career experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, business development, business decision support, or related roles
- Experience applying strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities including originating ideas, collecting data, establishing facts, performing analysis, drawing conclusions, and presenting a point of view to key stakeholders and senior leadership
- Proficiency in accounting software and experience in system conversions; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Economic management experience
- Broad knowledge of accounting principles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
WORK LOCATION/SCHEDULE
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule requiring 3 to 4 days on-site per month while the remainder of the work may be performed remotely within the State of Texas. Incumbent is also required to attend on-site meetings, trainings, and events throughout the year.
