The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, along with the ability to support the cabana operations and guest experience at PSSC. This is a full-time position required to work at the property. This position requires non-traditional working hours which includes working nights and weekends and holidays.
We are seeking a professional and customer-oriented Cabana Host to provide exceptional service and ensure an unforgettable experience for our guests at our upscale surf club. As a Cabana Host, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing cabana reservations, attending to guest needs, and creating a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable atmosphere. Your excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our guest services.
1. Guest Services:
Â· Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Â· Assist guests with cabana reservations, ensuring accurate information and timely bookings.
Â· Guide guests to their assigned cabanas, explaining available amenities, services, and safety regulations.
Â· Anticipate and fulfill guest needs promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Â· Provide personalized recommendations and assistance to guests regarding food and beverage options, recreational activities, and other amenities.
Â· Resolve guest complaints or concerns efficiently and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
2. Cabana Management:
Â· Maintain a clean and organized cabana area, ensuring all cabanas are properly set up and well-maintained.
Â· Monitor and manage cabana inventory, including towels, seating, umbrellas, and other amenities.
Â· Coordinate with cleaning and maintenance departments to ensure cabanas are sanitized and maintained regularly.
Â· Inspect cabanas regularly to identify any damages or maintenance requirements, promptly reporting and resolving issues. (TVâ€™s, refrigerators, etc.)
Â· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including monitoring guest behavior and enforcing poolside policies.
3. Sales and Upselling:
Â· Promote and sell additional services, such as food and beverage options, and recreational activities, to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
Â· Provide accurate information on available packages, promotions, and special offers to encourage upselling and increase sales.
Â· Process payment transactions accurately and efficiently, using the surf club's designated systems and adhering to financial policies and procedures.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
Â· Maintain open and effective communication with other departments, such as F&B, maintenance, and guest services, to ensure seamless experiences.
Â· Collaborate with the food and beverage team to coordinate orders, deliveries, and service timings for cabana guests.
Â· Work closely with the concierge to assist with guest inquiries, transportation arrangements, and local area information.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality or related fields are a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar guest service role, preferably in a water park, luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with guests.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness and aesthetics.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with reservation and payment systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required in a year-round work environment.
