Marketing Summer Student PHBI
The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group), is Alberta’s most experienced and most trusted new home warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. As Alberta’s leader in new home warranty products and services for 50 years, we continue to raise the bar to meet the needs of homeowners and our Builder Members.
This position resides with The Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) and works alongside The New Home Warranty Insurance (Canada) Corporation (NHWICC) and the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBI) and Dweller Home Services.
Accountable for:
The successful incumbent will be accountable for creating engaging social media, website content, including graphics, videos, and interactive posts, while maintaining brand consistency. Responsibilities include developing reusable templates, photo editing, and supporting event materials. Creativity and trend awareness are essential for contributing fresh ideas and collaborating on new content concepts.
Work location: Calgary, Alberta
Term: May 20, 2025 to August 22, 2025
Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (35 hours/week)
Wage: $18/hour
Responsibilities:
• Create engaging content for social media and the website
• Design graphics, edit photos, and create short videos
• Develop and maintain reusable content templates
• Support marketing materials for events
• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines
• Contribute creative ideas and stay up-to-date with trends
Skills and Experience:
• Basic design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or similar
• Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
• Comfortable editing simple videos (e.g., using CapCut, iMovie)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Attention to detail and time management
• Understanding of brand consistency and visual identity
• Awareness of current social media trends
• Basic marketing principles
· Familiarity with content planning and scheduling tools is a plus (e.g., SproutSocial, Hootsuite, Later, Buffer, etc.)
· Must be between the ages of 16 and 30, as this position is partially funded by the Canada Summer Student grant program
· Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education, in business/marketing or related area and returning to a post-secondary institution following your work term. Candidates must be at least in the 2nd year of their Program.
· Available and legally authorized to work in Canada for a 14-week full time work-term.
