Seasonal Housekeeping
Job Title: Housekeeper

Reports To: Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor
Employment Dates: March 2023 – November 2023
Salary: $15 minimum, based on experience
Position Summary:
Hotel Housekeeping associates provide excellent customer service to everyone they are in contact with, knowledgeable of Lakeside Chautauqua happenings & events. Housekeeping associates report to the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor. Generally, housekeeping shifts begins at 8a, occasionally later based on business demands. Holidays and weekends are required. Up to 40 hours a week are available, scheduling is flexible based on business demands, may be required to work later shifts, and may be required to clean up to 15 or more rooms per day. Set shifts/schedules are not guaranteed. Position may turn into year-round employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Cleaning of hotel rooms which includes using cleaning chemicals similar to household chemicals, vacuuming, dusting, stripping dirty linen from beds and replacing with clean linen, removing trash, scrubbing floors, toilets, sinks and bathtub/showers
· Cleaning of hotel lobby, restrooms & public spaces (including Hotel Lakeside porch)
· Cleaning of group housing & cabins may be requested
· Cross-training of reviewing guest room cleanliness prior to guest arrival
· Stocking closets with linen & supplies
· Delivering requested items to guests as requested such as roll away beds, cribs, blankets, pillows, etc.
· Helping guests with luggage may be required (up to 50lbs lifting, possible)
· Other duties that may be assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Previous hotel housekeeping or similar experience not required but preferred. On-the-job training provided. High school diploma preferred.
