Camp Fraser Program Coordinator



The Program Coordinator for Camp Fraser site is responsible for overseeing the safety of the students and staff during programs while ensuring the professional appearance of the camp every day.  He/she must be an individual who is a self-starter, problem-solver, team player, and is flexible to changing schedules and programs.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Be on site during all programming in order to manage the day-to-day operations of programs
  2. Communicate with teachers while on site for programming to ensure programs are effective, safe, and efficient.

      3. Works with Camp Director to run successful camp programs, including supervising educators; providing feedback              regularly to educators; communicating with teachers; and coordinate to improve lessons and overall student                        experience.

  1. Adhere to Living Classrooms’ emergency procedures with regards to student/staff sickness, injury, overall safety, etc.
  2. Oversee daily operations during programs including but not limited to assisting groups, camp cleanliness and repairs, trash and recycling pick up
  3. Maintain all equipment and make sure everything is in safe, working order via annual inspections of equipment used by students, especially the ropes courses
  4. Help prepare the site for programming use year-round and manage volunteers and volunteer projects as needed
  5. Maintain site records including but not limited to permits, maintenance, accounting, and reports as required and ensure licenses, inspections, and permits are kept active
  6. Maintain professionalism at all times as an important representative of Living Classrooms Foundation, Camp Fraser, and Calvary Baptist Church
  7. Regularly inspect buildings, facilities, and equipment, re-stock supplies, and make repairs as needed or make the arrangements for repairs
  8. Willing and able to learn and use various power tools, light machinery to complete tasks, including but not limited to riding lawn mower, chain saw, small tractor, power drill.
  9. Assist in planning long-term site improvement plan
  10. Maintain and operate landscaping equipment while also mowing regularly and removing fallen trees, debris, etc. so that the site always looks clean, professional, and presentable for groups and visitors
  11. Implement conservation and restoration projects as needed to improve the natural site
  12. Such other duties as are necessary for the operations of the program, the Foundation, or as assigned by the Vice President
  13. Works with Camp Director and Facility Manager to upkeep facility and execute small and large scale upgrades to Fraser preserve and lodge


  • Must be mature, responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to perform the above duties satisfactorily
  • Must possess strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in utilizing computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with electrical, carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, vehicle servicing and maintenance, lawn and tree care, operating light machinery preferred
