THE ROLE: DIRECTOR OF MODULE COMMERCIALIZATION

We are seeking an experienced, results driven, customer service focused Director of Module Commercialization to join our team! Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be a key member of the Product & Technology team responsible for overseeing the Engineering & Design, Production, Installation & Commission and Quality Control functions for the company.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

·       10+ years’ experience in operations/engineering/technology leadership position with a strong track record of customer  service and leading teams through change

·       Strong track record of driving results and change process to improve performance, creating a culture of accountability within a values-based organization.

·       Strong track record of delivering high quality product to market from early prototype stage to commercialization.

·       Bachelor’s degree in business/operations/engineering or equivalent

·       Project Management Certification and Lean Manufacturing Certificates are considered assets.

·       Experience and understanding of the integration of technology across hardware and software.

·       Proven track record of collaborating across multiple divisions with diverse areas of expertise.

·       Experience with developing a comprehensive product strategy aligning to business goals and customer requirements.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

Specialized Skills:

·       Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles

·       Prior experience in outsourced models for manufacturer & global fulfillment

·       Individual must be highly analytical with structured thinking process.

·       Proven ability to work on multiple work streams and manage projects while fostering cross-functional team relationships in a collaborative work environment.

·       Exceptional communication skills with extensive experience in cost negotiations.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

·       Oversee the Engineering & Design, Production, Installation & Commission and Quality Control functions

·       Drive the highest quality standards in both construction and output of our growing modules.

·       Manage equipment purchases and identify outsourcing opportunities to support the growth strategies.

·       Work with CTO to develop a hardware product road map that is integrated with Product & Technology Group

·       Develop and define KPIs for group delivering regular progress updates to CTO.

·       Oversee manufacturing supply chain globally.

·       Track progress against strategic goals and product rationalization objectives and guide the process to evolve plans as appropriate.

·       Work with Data Science team to advance the use of data for internal and external decision making.

         Partner with finance to review and improve COGS and model returns of various investment

    • Continuously partner with key stakeholders to drive annual cost reductions and improvements to COGS that meet corporate objectives.

·       Partner with R&D in the development of new and existing products

·       Manage the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment, ensuring they are executed to the highest quality.

·       Direct, evaluate, and confirm product design and changes.

·       Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate employees.

·       Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the organization.
