Job Overview.

The Enterprise Sales Development will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to expand markets and drive business growth. This position will play an active role in all phases of the account management lifecycle, including overseeing the initial setup and implementation of agencies. The Enterprise Sales Development will build and maintain strategic partnerships and nurture relationships. 

This is a remote role with SOMA Headquarters located in Tampa, FL.

Job Description/What You Would Do In This Role.

  • Conduct market research to determine sales leads and targets.

  • Grow new client revenue within the assigned State or Vertical Market Segment by creating comprehensive sales plans.

  • Generate new leads through networking and prospecting, including cold calling, as well as using marketing and PR activities of the company.

  • Create and maintain a pipeline of sales leads.

  • Secure meetings with key personnel and decision-makers at potential sales opportunities.

  • Conduct online and or onsite introduction demos.

  • Make sales presentations to customers and prospects within a prescribed territory. Address product uses, benefits, competitive advantages, and business terms; facilitate technical follow-up to close the sale.

  • Target account selling (prospecting/lead generation, qualification and scoping, closing strategies, negotiations, etc.).

  • Move sales leads to a full opportunity culminating with a sale.

  • Act as representative of SOMA Global at industry conferences and association meetings.

  • Sales process management.

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of SOMA's solution offerings.

  • Maintain a real-time understanding of the competitive landscape to assist in figuring out win-based proposals and pricing.

  • Participate in sales planning status meetings.

  • Meet or exceed quota expectations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related fields preferred.

  • Required travel up to 70%.

  • Experience in technology sales with a focus on lead generation.

  • Proven CRM experience.

  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.

  • Familiar with revenue recognition, budgeting, and reliable sales forecasting

  • A commitment to excellent customer service.

  • Sense of urgency and high degree of professionalism.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities

  • Competency in G-Suite is preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
