Cafe Manager - Deep Ellum

Cafe Manager Position (Deep Ellum):

  • Provide exemplary customer service as a coffee professional.
  • Maintain coffee knowledge on current offerings and clearly engage/communicate/educate product information to customers.
  • Participate and attend staff offered training, education, and cuppings for certification.
  • Cash handling.
  • Represent the brand through proper appearance and a clean and well-organized bar.
  • Collaborate and Inspire in a Team Environment.
  • Key Holder and manage team during the shift.
  • Ordering, Par management, Scheduling, Reconcile POS drawer reports, approve time in the scheduling system.
  • Educate, Train and development of team according to Merit Coffee training criteria and assisting store trainer.
  • Interview and Hire new team members.
  • Work with DM to meet monthly sales goals.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending and the ability to push, pull and lift 30lbs.
  • Must hold a current Managers Food Handlers Certification.
  • Proven previous Management Experience profitably and operationally a must! (Specialty Coffee experience a bonus, but not required)
