The person in this position reports directly to the General
Manager and is responsible for establishing and managing the Hotel daily
operations. This involves coordinating the activities of the Front Desk,
Engineering and Housekeeping departments.
Works with Department heads to ensure that all guest needs and concerns
are properly addressed. Participate in business planning and review activities
to ensure the financial wellbeing of the Property.
Provide leadership to all
departments by reviewing schedules and conduct training; prepare and
communicate performance expectations of resort management and guests; Assign
duties and observe performances to ensure adherence to Hotel policies; conduct
periodic feedback and performance review sessions; establish employee
recognition rewards/events; and when necessary, take disciplinary actions.
Resolve front desk discrepancies (financial, reservation, etc). Orders
and track vouchers/show attractions. Hold weekly meeting with Staff.
with guests to resolve problems by suggesting and applying mutually agreeable
solutions. Assist guests in making, changing, and canceling reservations.
Register guests into and out of resort. Assist in developing walk-in rates for
last minute bookings. Provide information in person and by telephone regarding
resort services. Work directly with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure that
all guest requests are met in a timely and correct fashion. Work with the Sales
Manager to negotiate group rates and actively participate in the yield management
program. Attends regular staff meetings and perform special projects as needed
by General Manager
*Bonus - $250 after 30 days of employment and $250 after Labor Day if employed still.
