Location: Columbia, MD

Hours: Part-Time. Flexibility on Hours and Days. 1-3 Days a week depending on Candidates Preference and pace-of-work

Type: Temporary with potential to go Permanent

Pay: Negotiable

Our client is seeking a Bookkeeper Admin to work part-time in a back office role.


Job Duties:

·         Keying invoices into Linux-Based Software (Training on System Available)

·         Scanning documents for key information (pre-bid hearing, due dates, etc.) and make adjustments/changes as needed

·         Maintaining records and File Documents appropriately

·         Locating and correcting errors in tax reports / financial documents

·         Communicating with vendors and suppliers

·         Managing Executives Calendar and provide regular updates to staff on changes

·         Taking the lead on strategic initiatives important for company culture and company success

·         Assist with a variety of office projects and processes

·         Drafting and Mailing Letters / Correspondence to Government Agencies

·         Data Entry

·         Create regular reports and update internal databases

·         Respond promptly to managers’ queries

·         Additional Responsibilities as assigned


·         Self-motivated and independent worker

·         Experience with government contracting, tax reporting, and bids.

·         Strong communication skills both orally and written

·         Hardworking

·         Proficient in Excel

·         Accounting Skills and Knowledge

·         Ability to interact with high ranking officials and difficult clientele.

Preferred Experience:

·         Experience in the Petroleum industry

About of Client: Our client is a small women-owned business, with over a decade in the industry.  Working in the Petroleum industry, our client sells fuel, replaces tanks, teaches classes, optimizes procurements, and provides consultations for the highway industry, colleges, oil dealers, and local/state/federal government agencies.
