We are looking for a unique candidate who has both the flexibility and entrepreneurial attitude to be a hands on role with no immediate direct reports. However, will control every aspect of fulfillment and logistics across our Edmonton Operations. The correct candidate will have a combination of both hands on experience in a warehouse environment and the analytical aptitude to lead complex projects and strategy. Experience with cross border logistics and customs knowledge is also an asset.

  • Monitor, operate, and report farming operations in collaboration with the Onboarding Manager.
  • Assist with control of plant nutrition at various stages of growth, while maintaining equipment.
  • Ensure all safety policies and strict crop hygiene practices are followed and enforced.
  • Assist with propagation, seeding, plant movement, spacing, packaging, picking orders and irrigation of plants under controlled climate.
  • Monitor plants and report potential issues to Onboarding Manager and work on proper corrective actions.
  • Complete daily key operational checklists, including nutrition and fertilizer checks. 
  • Evaluate new potential processes/products to increase revenue or save operating costs.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed after each task has been completed. 
  • Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success.
  • Organize and prepare work schedules for employees to ensure the appropriate amount of staff is available for each work shift based on operational requirements. 
  • Train new staff members as they are hired.
  • Organize inventory to date regarding onsite availability and production readiness. 
  • Work early morning, late evening, and weekend shifts as required. 


  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a supervisory and production role is required.
  • Experience working in agriculture, indoor vertical farming environments or in a greenhouse is an asset.
  • Certificate/Diploma/Associates or Bachelors Degree in any field of Horticulture/Agriculture or any other related field is an asset.



  • Knowledgeable on standard concepts, practices and procedures within the horticulture industry
  • Capable of physical tasks for crop related trials and production
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift approximately 25 lbs. of weight.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills, and organizational ability required
  • Must be able to work-independently and be a self-starter
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and be willing to travel periodically to complete tasks
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines.
  • Experienced with MS Office, proficient with documenting procedures
  • Familiar with all laws and regulations pertaining to ag-tech production and food safety matters. (HACCP, GAP, General Health and Safety, etc.)
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures.
