Position Summary

The Office of Institutional Research & Analysis (OIRA) serves the entire University community in achieving its mission. The office is tasked with collection, coordination, analysis, and dissemination of data and other information about and for University decision-making.

 The primary responsibilities of this Graduate Assistant position are to support the Director of Institutional Research with various projects including collection and reporting of institutional information to internal and external entities, analyzing survey data and creating reports on results, and research and analysis of internal and national higher education databases. Manage projects independently, managing timelines, solving issues as they arise, and creating and presenting data and results. Handle multiple deadlines while still ensuring that data is reported accurately and on time.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in a related field (social science, mathematics/statistics, computer science) required

·         Acceptance to, and continued enrollment in a Master’s program at DeSales University required

·         Working knowledge of data collection, data management, and analysis

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI (preferred, but not required)

·         Interest in gaining experience in the field of institutional research or data analytics

·         Interest in gaining experience in higher education administration
