Case Compliance Clerk

Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for an CASE COMPLIANCE CLERK that can be located in any one of our office locations: Tallahassee, Quincy, Pensacola, Ft. Walton Beach, or Panama City. Come work with an expanding organization of great people who do hard work to better the lives of low-income and vulnerable individuals in our communities. Work independently and as part of a team to support the executive leadership team and the functions of a non-profit law firm, with 95+ employees in six offices across North Florida.

The Case Compliance Clerk will work with digital case files to review legal case coding to ensure compliance with grant funder requirements and specifications.  As a firm, LSNF handles over 7,000 civil legal cases a year and maintains funding from 55- 60 federal, state, and local funding sources. Client case files need periodic review to ensure time is billed correctly and cases are closed in a timely manner consistent with funder requirements. Responsibilities include working with LegalServer, the client database system, to review and monitor case coding, reporting to leadership periodically on case compliance, and working closely with managing attorneys, supervisors, and legal case handlers to ensure proper understanding of grant funding parameters and case compliance to increase organization effectiveness.

Must be detailed oriented and proactive. Candidates should possess a high level of professionalism, be able to exercise good judgment, and have proven experience in communicating to a variety of individuals. Ideal candidates would have experience working or volunteering for non-profits, social services agencies, or community-based organizations. Preference for candidates with experience performing internal audits and monitoring for quality control. Experience with grant funded organizations, LegalServer,  or other law firm or client database woudl be helpful.

Qualified applicants will possess:

  • Professional demeanor with high standards of confidentiality and ethical judgement 
  • Experience in quality control, reporting, and/ or grant reporting
  • Four years of either administrative experience, internal audit role, or quality assurance; AA education may be substituted for one year of experience. BS/ BA education may be substituted for two years of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, to include verbal and written skills 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and act pro-actively 
  • Comfortable with database and electronic case management

Entry level salary of $35,000 is negotiable. Candidate with experience beyond the minimum qualifications may qualify for higher salary, depending on relevance of the experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits package includes:
