Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll be responsible for independently evaluating, determines the treatment strategies delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired. in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work.  Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Within our facility, you may work with patients who have:

• Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
• Multi-system organ failure
• Chronic/Acute respiratory failure
• Ventilators and require weaning
• Stroke,
• Major Multiple trauma
• Amputation
• Neurological disorders

Qualifications:

In order to work at our facility as an Occupational Therapist, you will need:

• To be licensed by the appropriate State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
• CPR certification

A few things that aren't required, but we would prefer:

• At least 2 years of direct patient care experience
• Experience in a multidisciplinary acute care setting
