Siloam’s approach to medical care provides a unique, interdisciplinary model of whole-person health care that addresses the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual determinants of health. Our staff is anchored by a multicultural primary care team that serves alongside roughly 300 volunteer interpreters, doctors, nurses, and other licensed medical specialists each year to provide comprehensive health care to Nashville’s most vulnerable

What You’ll Do

The Director of Major Gifts plays a key leadership role in advancing Siloam Health’s development strategy, with a primary focus on expanding major gift revenue in a time of aggressive contributed revenue growth. This position is an externally facing role responsible for expanding a high-impact major gifts program focused on individual donors. This position manages a portfolio of high-capacity donors, strengthens core fundraising initiatives, and cultivates long-term philanthropic relationships.

The Director is responsible for driving strategic growth with major gift prospects and donors and contributes to building a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making across the department. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of 100–120 individual donors giving $10,000+ annually
  • Making direct, face-to-face solicitations and equipping board and staff with tools and guidance for their own donor outreach
  • Representing Siloam Health in external settings to build mission awareness, expand networks, and identify new donor prospects
  • Growing the Siloam Health Donor Circle, the giving society for donors contributing $10,000+ annually
  • Along with the Chief Development Officer, leading a team of volunteers as a part of a Major Gifts Committee to identify areas for improvement and expansion of work
  • Co-leading the Siloam Health Legacy Society with the Chief Development Officer, with an emphasis on planned giving

Who We Are Looking For

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications 

  • Passionate about Christian ministry to the underserved and in full agreement with Siloam’s mission and core values
  • Willingness to serve persons with limited access to healthcare and who are from different cultures and faith beliefs
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products 
  • Adherence to OSHA and confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
