Director of Veterinary Relations
Vet’s Best Friend is looking to expand our team. We
are hiring a veterinarian to head the position of: Director of Veterinary
Relations. The role is critical to the continued success of the company with
responsibility for helping to build strategies and programs to attract, develop
and retain top Veterinary talent throughout our growing organization. The
Director of Vet Relations will continue to develop and execute on a long-term
DVM recruitment and career development plan that will meet our growth
objectives and hiring goals, delivering candidates that are well aligned with
the unique vision and culture here at Vet’s Best Friend and ensuring their
long-term success. The director will also meet with prospective practices and
work to build our company’s brand. The Director of Veterinary Relations will
report to the Vice President of Veterinary Relations, Dr. Cheryl Brocki.
Foster productive relationships and partner
with veterinary school and veterinary technician schools to develop campus
Focus on a DVM recruitment strategy that includes job
fairs, campus visits, association (VMA, etc.) functions, networking, and other
“out of the box” vet referral opportunities.
Manage effective recruitment process including DVM
sourcing, screening, interviewing and on-boarding that meet hiring goals.
Help to strengthen the employment brand that
proactively attracts committed, caring and driven talent.
Utilize an on-boarding program for new hires
that will ensure successful integration into the organization.
Focus on retention strategy that will
proactively work with employees to identify concerns and future opportunities
to advance their career.
Continue to cultivate the culture that values
its employees and makes VBF a great place to work.
Assist executive team to deliver a compelling
message to potential on-coming practices, sharing our vision and mission: to
“Take Care of the People who Take Care of Our Pets.”
Act as an enthusiastic champion of our cause,
advocating the value VBF brings to our employees and our patients.

Must possess a DVM/VMD or equivalent, possesses 3+
years within the veterinary field as well have experience recruiting and
onboarding veterinarians either within a large hospital or multiple
