SUMMARY OF JOB:

This position plans and executes a variety of projects: updating social media sites, maintaining the organization’s website, Google analytics, assisting with all events and projects, customer relations, and assisting with office duties and sponsorships. This position will manage, oversee, and perform a variety of communication activities, including, but not limited to: overseeing newsletters and customer service, producing materials such as camp brochures and outdoor school brochures, assisting in coordinating and implementing events such as soliciting for auction items, and assisting in summer camp enrollment process when needed. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing Responsibilities

1. Effectively communicate with a diverse group of clients, parents of campers, teachers, board members, donors, and staff
2. Utilize computer programs/software to maintain, plan and update website, social media platforms and newsletters.
3. Write, design, and maintain communications materials such as newsletters, email campaigns, social media, collateral, public relations materials, and presentations
4. Conduct, analyze, and present research on marketing and brand awareness

Event & Fundraising Responsibilities

5. Assist Director of Development with Sponsorships, Donor Engagement and Event Preparation
6. Organize and promote auctions for fundraising events Summer Camp and Outdoor School Responsibilities
7. As needed, assist Enrollment Manager with summer camp registration processing, parent/customer communications, and mailings.
8. Assist Enrollment Manager and/or Camp Director with all staff materials for summer as well as outdoor school programming.
9. Assist Camp Director, Enrollment Manager, and/or Executive Director with collection of summer camp parents and camper data as needed.

Requirements

● Bachelor's degree required 
● Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
● Excellent communication skills with team, stakeholders, vendors, and senior executives.
● Customer-focused team player.
● Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat, in addition to GoDaddy, Google Workspace, and similar programs/tools
● Demonstrate a strong command of Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
● Good command of the English language.
● Pleasant and cordial manner.
● Good organizational skills.
● Possess a high degree of initiative and proactivity.
● Ability to maintain neat and orderly records.
● Ability to respect deadlines.
● Successfully obtain state and local child clearance.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position will also be required to periodically perform duties outdoors in a summer camp for children setting.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to operate an automobile to pick-up supplies.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, this position may require extended hours during the summer camp session and during community events and fundraising events.
