Qualifications for Guest Service Manager

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2 years of previous front desk/customer supervisor experience is preferred
  • Excellent leadership, management, and team building skills
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time

Job Duties for Guest Services Manager

  • Ensure the best guest experience
  • Responsible for guest comments, replies, follow ups using the systems provided for tracking the same and doing so in a timely manner
  • Planning, & organizing the overall operations of the front desk, bell services, and PBX.
  • Coordinate activities/issues with other hotel departments in order to facilitate increased levels of efficiency and guest satisfaction – utilize and train on the systems provided
  • Investigate complaints and initiate a mutually agreeable solution to promptly resolve any guest issues
  • Manage and motivate the team in the execution of their duties. Conduct performance evaluations post hire and annually
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to exceed standards and promote
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct customer service training on a regular basis
  • Assign duties and observe performances to ensure adherence to Hotel policies
  • Assist in resolving front desk discrepancies (financial, reservation, etc).
  • Orders and tracks vouchers /show attractions / activities supplies
  • Assist guests in making, changing, and canceling reservations and registering in/out of thee resort
  • Assist in developing walk-in rates for last minute bookings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.
  • Maintain and train the proper emergency and security procedures on a monthly basis
