Kitchen Manager:
Wachusett Brewing Company is looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead our Team and continue to develop and grow the Brew Yard business. With the addition of a brand-new kitchen, Wachusett is looking for a creative and hardworking leader to improve product quality, implement special event menus, and overall customer experience. Must possess knowledge of inventory systems, food ordering, and a food and labor budget. Great beer, entertainment, people, and of course food are the recipe for an awesome Wachusett Brewing experience.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
● Maintain weekly and monthly cost reports for overall food cost and labor
● Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments
● Order food, materials, and supplies, based on demand
● Maintaining inventory items in the point of sales system
● Schedule work shifts for employees, maintaining set labor %
● Making sure all employees are punching in/out properly
● Adjusting staffing levels according to business levels
● Assigning workstations and duties
● Ensuring the completion of work tasks and closing tasks
● Set up workstations with required ingredients and cooking equipment
● Ensure great presentation by properly dressing dishes before they are served
● Enforce a clean, sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
● Stock, date, rotate and check temperature of products
● Continuously check quality of ingredients
● Develop new, and follow current recipes and product directions for preparing food
● Menu creation with additional weekly specials
● Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations
● Develop and implement checklists for all SOPs
● Work with the Director of Operations to price and change menu items
● Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulation
Position Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management or equivalent experience.
● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
● In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
● Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
● Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
● Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
● A minimum of 55 hours a week is required while punching in and out for each shift
● Will have bonus salary available if labor/food cost and production goals are met
