The Quality Manager owns the Quality Management System (QMS) and is responsible to assure compatibility of quality processes with the overall goal of delivering consistent, high performing, cost efficient product.

The Quality Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS. This individual will champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to improve the QMS and implement quality improvement activities as appropriate to raise the performance of the company’s products and services.

They will work with senior management to develop a quality culture across the organization, and will lead the Quality Team in quality planning, improvement, control, and assurance efforts.

Our QMS operates in accordance with engineering, manufacturing, project management and agricultural best practices to ensure our systems are designed, manufactured, installed, and operated per technical specifications and our customers’ requirements.



• A combination of bachelor’s degree in science or related field and/or technical Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.

• Quality Control certification is advantageous, as is experience with ISO9001.

5 years of quality experience in manufacturing or food / health product environment is preferred


• Excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to work with people at all levels both inside and outside the Company.

•Must have superior organizational, analytical, problem solving, and management skills.

•Self-starter, critical thinker, and team oriented

•High work ethic standards are a must.

•Exceptional attention to detail

•Able to work flexible hours.

•Ability to manage competing priorities and multi- task.

•Proficient in MS Office software suite

•Excellent oral & written communication skills combined with strong organizational skills.

•Flexible - Able to work well under pressure.

•Knowledge of GPP/GAP (Good Production Practices/Good Agricultural Practices) and GMP (Good manufacturing Practices) would be considered an asset.


• Willing to travel 10-30% of time



• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve a QMS that supports Partner Customer, internal, and regulatory requirements.

•Develop and deliver training on the QMS to the employees to ensure understanding of key quality principles.

•Ensure evaluation of and reporting on vendor quality systems.

•Work with Partner Customers, employees, and suppliers to develop product requirements.

•Manage the Non-Conformance and Change Management systems. Ensure solutions fully address issues, and that they are effective and timely in their completion. 

•Review of internal and external change control documents related to the manufacturing process.

•Provide input on decisions to approve/reject Change Requests.

•Organize and participate in internal audits of the Quality Management System, prepares audit reports and follow up on non-conformances.

•Identify manufacturing process issues based on product testing results.

•Monitor the effectiveness of product Quality testing. 

•Provide data for preparation of monthly Quality Assurance reports including quality issues by product, metrics, and summary of any quality problems.

•Report to Executive Committee on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including need for improvement.


•Participate in Project Kick-off meetings, Engineering Design Reviews, Gate Reviews, Risk Assessment and Analysis sessions as required.
