Manage the banquet kitchen staff in the procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food for all banquet functions in a safe, sanitary work environment that conforms to all standards and regulations and achieves profitable, competitive quality products.


Job Duties

Assist in managing human resources within the division.  Maintain sufficient supplies of banquet food and equipment. Maximize guest satisfaction with banquet food by providing the highest quality of product consistent with cost constraints. Monitor industry trends and recommend appropriate action to be taken to maintain competitive status and profitability of the operation. Manage the department’s budget. Work closely with the sales and food and beverage management concerning special arrangements. Informs culinary management team regarding problems or unusual matters of significance.


A two-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.  A degree in culinary arts or restaurant management is preferred. Five full years of hands on experience and at least one year of employment in related management position. Requires advanced knowledge of Food and Beverage/Culinary practices and procedures. Must be able to work with and understand basic arithmetic functions.  Must be Serv-Safe certified.
