Project Manager- FF&E

The Lone Mountain Land Company, with its headquarters in Big Sky, Montana is looking for a Project Engineer- FF&E to join the team. Lone Mountain Land Company (LMLC) was formed by private equity firm CrossHarbor Capital Partners to manage the planning, entitlement, building, marketing and sales of premier resort communities in and around Big Sky, Montana.  LMLC is comprised of some of the world’s leading real estate professionals, who together are creating some of the most desirable and successful resort communities, including Spanish Peaks, Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Town Center.

Position Summary:

LMLC’s newest project is the Montage Big Sky, a 150-room hotel with 39 Montage Residences, located within Spanish Peaks, opening in 2021.  The first luxury hotel built in the Rockies in the past twenty years, the Montage Big Sky will bring Montage’s unique approach to hospitality to the second largest ski area in the U.S.  Amenities include several restaurants and bars, a basement pub and bowling alley, ski lockers and services, a signature Spa Montage.

The Project Manager will oversee the design, specification, pricing, procurement and installation of the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) for the Montage Big Sky hotel and residences, representing a budget of $12 million, plus subsequent hospitality projects developed by Lone Mountain Land Company.  Across the street from the Hotel, a 30-unit Inn and 15 cabins are currently being designed and are expected to start construction next year.  A One and Only resort is also currently being designed for Moonlight Basin, projected to open in 2022.  Several other hotel projects are planned at Big Sky over the next 5-10 years.  The Project Manager is expected to become the in-house expert for FF&E for hospitality projects developed by LMLC across the Big Sky resort.

The Project Manager, through their creativity, professionalism, and hard work will support and improve upon LMLC’s reputation as a leader in design and innovation in developing some of the world’s leading resort communities.

Job Duties

·         Work with interior designer to specify FF&E for the projects

·         Engage and oversee a purchasing agent to source and bid the FF&E

·         Create a model room on-site at the Montage Big Sky, and obtain Montage and owner approval of model room

·         Work with Montage Hotels and Resorts, and other branded operators, to approve furniture and fixture selections, and plan and execute the procurement of operating supplies and equipment

·         Work with interior designer to create and price an Appliance Package, a Material and Finish Package, and a Furniture Package to offer to buyers of branded residences

Education, Skills, and Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree, with strong academic performance

·         Preferred: An advanced degree in design, architecture or project management

·         Minimum five (5) years of experience in interior design, architecture, or procurement

·         Experience in design and execution of luxury hospitality and/or residential projects

·         Professional experience in real estate development or hospitality

·         Excellent references
