The Linen Inventory Control Coordinator ensures facilities have adequate linen and commodity supplies required to operate efficiently by following established policies and standards. In conjunction with maintaining adequate customer supplies, the Coordinator position assists in improved turnaround and circulation efficiencies of linen and other assets back to the designated processing plant. The Coordinator also facilitates inventory control processes and communicates customer issues/concerns to the respective Account Representative.
Performs linen room inventories at specified facilities using client-specific quota sheet to ensure adequate supply and adjust orders accordingly.
Visits assigned regional continuous care facilities to retrieve HCSC linen inventory that was used to transport patients from hospital facilities by EMS. Generates the log of retrieved items/piece counts.
Ensures customer satisfaction through the resolution of quality and service issues. Communicates issues through direct operations / Service contact and monthly service reports. Builds relationships through frequent visitation/communication, thorough follow up and reliability of service.
Participates in periodic joint projects, such as linen conversions (installations/de-installation), linen usage surveys and other client-based projects.
Identifies and promotes the sale of commodities and linen-related items to assigned client base through the HCSC Direct Program.
Identifies, promotes, installs and maintains VIP linen, dust control, pack and scrub programs for assigned client base. Performs periodic inventories, orders replacement/inventory increase items, as needed.
Protects and prevents improper disclosure of protected health, proprietary, and personal information. Abides by corporate privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a service industry
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and work independently
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and lift up to 40 lbs.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
