JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager, will join our creative team responsible for managing our strategic planning, prioritization, and execution planning processes, leading strategic reviews, and ensuring we optimize our future plans by leveraging data and insights. The Marketing Manager will drive the thoughtful execution of campaigns related to content strategy for events and church functions. This role will provide strategic guidance to leadership and ministries through various digital and analytical activities. Overall, the Marketing Manager plays a critical role in shaping the direction of an organization's marketing efforts and ensuring that they align with the organization's overall communication strategy.

  • Develop strategies, manage, execute, and optimize campaigns around events and church functions
  • Supporting the Creative Director in establishing and evaluating a marketing strategy and plan by analyzing and assembling data and organizing and planning campaigns
  • Collaborate with ministries to ensure the marketing strategy aligns with their initiatives
  • Create and distribute press releases as needed and respond to media inquiries
  • Leverage analytic tools to provide reporting and insights, track and improve metrics, and influence testing and strategy
  • Maximize Search Marketing accounts across all Search Engine platforms
  • Responsible for keyword research, keyword selection, ad copy creation, account set-up, campaign execution, campaign strategy, and optimization
  • Must conduct market research to understand the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our target audience. Using this data to develop marketing strategies that resonate with the target audience and increase brand awareness
  • Ad management and analysis of all paid media accounts
  • Collaborate on programs and projects designed to enhance and evolve our digital presence, including channel strategy, experimentation with new channels and tactics, and channel governance
  • Oversee the strategy and day-to-day execution for all channels, including content development and curation, promotion, and measurement; facilitate continual innovation and optimization
  • Utilize A/B testing to foster better engagement and improve future campaigns
  • Stay current with emerging digital media behavior, trends, and technologies; provide guidance for new tools and technologies as they emerge
  • Leverage analytic tools to provide reporting and insights, track and improve metrics, and influence testing and strategy.
  • Manage a team of marketing professionals to provide direction, support, and feedback to ensure the team meets its goals
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of operation are scheduled Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with occasional evenings and weekends as job duties demand.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:

  • Must have good or corrected vision, effective peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use the repetitive motion of the hands and arms
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to several hours at one time
  • Must be able to move about inside the office to perform administrative tasks
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine, or printer
  • Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and/or push/pull objects up to 100 pounds

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent working experience (required)
  • 5+ years’ experience in brand, marketing, communications, and project management with a passion for analytics and strategy (preferred)
  • 5+yrs of full-funnel analytics experience
  • 2+yrs experience managing at least one direct report

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Duties are performed in an office setting where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee is able to effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in an innovative environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal. Periodic travel to various locations may be required.
