As the Room Attendant, at the Home 2 Jackson, Michigan you will:
Possess the ability to effectively deal with guest requests, report guest concerns and complaints in a friendly and positive manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Room Attendants are responsible for reporting missing articles in the room, damaged or mechanical problems to the Executive Housekeeper, General Manager and or Chief Maintenance and turn in articles left in room by guests.
This position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, stock rooms with appropriate supplies according to brand standard while following safety and security procedures and regulations. At the end of the day, each Room Attendant will be responsible for restocking and storing the housekeeping cart according to housekeeping, safety and security procedures and regulations.
Room Attendants will receive assigned section of rooms, keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Executive Housekeeper or General Manager daily (these will be different each day). All keys and unused supplies are turned in at the end of the day.
Room Attendants must have the ability to clean rooms during an eight-hour workday. Self- starting personality, ability to work as team, meet brand required standards and communicate well with guests. Previous hotel experience a plus, but not required. Physical activities include kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking, reaching, stretching and grasping. Must have the ability to work alone in an established routine. Ability push or pull maid cart weighing up to 200 pounds. Ability to lift and carry object weighting up to 50 pounds.
