Head Housekeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team at our IHG property. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and team performance in alignment with IHG brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public areas, and laundry
- Ensure all guest rooms and common areas meet IHG cleanliness and brand standards
- Train, supervise, and schedule housekeeping staff
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas
- Manage inventory and ordering of housekeeping supplies
- Address guest concerns and special requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Monitor labor costs and productivity to meet budget goals
- Coordinate with maintenance and front desk to ensure efficient room turnaround
- Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping supervisory experience (hotel experience preferred)
- Previous experience with an IHG-branded hotel is a plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with housekeeping duties
