Maintenance Technician – Commercial Kitchen & Facilities

Are you mechanically inclined, skilled at repairs, and love figuring out how things work?

Bavarian Inn Restaurant is hiring a Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day repairs, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across our busy 90,000-square-foot property — including three commercial kitchens, 12 dining rooms, a full-scale production bakery, and six retail shops.

We're looking for someone who's hands-on, resourceful, and confident tackling a variety of maintenance challenges, from commercial kitchen equipment and plumbing to electrical and general building repairs. Our Maintenance Team takes pride in doing the job right — with quality workmanship, teamwork, and a little good humor along the way!

WAGE: $20–$25/HR BASED ON EXPERIENCE

FULL-TIME + BENEFITS & PART-TIME AVAILABLE

SHIFT EXAMPLES: 7AM–3PM | 12PM–8PM

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen and bakery equipment, including fryers, ovens, dish machines, and other mechanical systems.
• Building Maintenance: Perform plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general facility repairs.
• Respond to Service Calls: Investigate maintenance concerns, identify problems, and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance: Inspect, service, and maintain equipment and building systems to help prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Teamwork: Work independently on familiar repairs and collaborate with maintenance leadership on more complex projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Previous hands-on experience troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment and building systems required.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose problems and determine effective repairs
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, plumbing, electrical components, building repairs, and hand/power tools
• Independence & Dependability: Ability to prioritize service calls, work independently, and follow through on repairs in a busy environment.
• Availability: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• No specialized certifications required! Experience with commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC is a plus, but not required.

UNIFORM: Black work pants, collared button-down maintenance shirts, and sturdy work boots. All uniform items are provided by Bavarian Inn Restaurant, including a $250 annual work boot allowance!
