The Gem City Market Cooperative, Dayton’s first multi-stakeholder community and employee-owned full-service grocery store is growing our team. Do you have a passion and desire to serve our community by facilitating and managing a variety of initiatives across Gem City Market operations including monthly market events, health and wellness programming, and community space usage? Gem City Market would love to hear from you! We are looking for a detail-oriented leader to help Gem City Market grow community-centered programming and assist with member-owner engagement. Our goal is to utilize the wide variety of partners and talent across the community to help enhance Gem City Market as a vibrant grocery store and community gathering space.
Reporting to the Outreach Manager, the Member and Events Coordinator will:
Provide exemplary leadership and coordination of outreach and engagement opportunities for the Gem City Market member-ownership and greater Dayton community to help support the overall mission of Gem City Market operations. This will include but is not limited to active communication with the member-ownership base, health and wellness programming, and active leadership in all community-based initiatives, workgroups, and committees.
Build and maintain a monthly event calendar of Gem City Market events, health and wellness programming, and private events through coordinating with internal operations and external partners. This will include but is not limited to developing and overseeing an event registration platform, onboarding new partners, implementing standard operating procedures for all community spaces, and supporting the needs of events in a cooperative environment.
Manage any financial costs related to events and collect all payments on time from respective partners. Manage Gem City Market operational events and/ or assist partners with the wide variety of needs of events including but not limited to marketing, registration, set-up, catering, technology, and tear down.
Maintain active communication both onsite and off with partners to assist in communication efforts led by the Outreach Manager. This includes but is not limited to collecting and/ or creating content for communications channels such as flyers, photos, video, and literature.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Digital literacy skills
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
Ability to solve problems effectively and exercise good judgment
Ability to work independently within established guidelines
Ability to model desirable servant leadership skills and professional conduct
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
Google Suite Proficiency (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Deep listening and engagement experience
Content creation including but is not limited to flyers, photography, video, and literature
