Safety Technician (Casual)

Kinetic Safety is hiring Casual/Part-Time Safety Technicians to support projects in the Bonnyville, AB area.

We are seeking reliable, safety-minded individuals who are attentive to detail, take their responsibilities seriously, and understand the importance of maintaining safe working conditions on industrial sites. Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site safety coverage including safety watch, confined space watch, atmospheric monitoring, spark/fire watch, and area gas detection.
• Monitor confined space work to ensure established procedures and safety requirements are being followed.
• Complete and maintain documentation related to confined space activities, including hazard assessments, entry records, and equipment logs.
• Accurately record personnel entering and exiting confined spaces, atmospheric readings, and changing site conditions.
• Perform atmospheric testing at required frequencies to confirm safe working conditions.
• Monitor compliance with permits, procedures, policies, and site requirements related to confined space work.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and other site safety activities.
• Assist with the use, care, and cleaning of respiratory protective equipment.
• Support safe work practices across the site and help ensure personnel comply with applicable Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
• Follow and reinforce client safety requirements, Kinetic Safety’s HSE program, company policies and procedures, and applicable legislation.

Qualifications

• Applicants must reside in Bonnyville, AB or within reasonable daily commuting distance
• Current required safety certifications include H2S Alive, Intermediate First Aid, Confined Space Entry & Monitor, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• Previous experience as a Safety Technician, Safety Watch, or Confined Space Watch within the oil and gas industry is considered an asset, with 1+ years preferred
• A valid Canadian driver’s licence and clean driving record are considered assets
